Walking Tour with Julie Bates AO: Shine a Light
Join sex worker rights activist Julie Bates AO on a tour of Kings Cross and East Sydney through the lens of her own activism and experience working and living in the area. This mini tour is based on Bates' live street-based performance The Joy Tour, depicting the days of Tilly Devine and the birth of the sex worker rights movement in inner Sydney.

This event forms part of the ‘Radical Sydney’ public program series. Taking its title from Terry Irving and Rowan Cahill's book on dissident politics and actions in Sydney this program of talks, documentary screenings and performances engages with the histories and futures of local activism concerned with housing, public space, sexuality and gender.
