UNSW’s partnership with Matraville High School is ushering in a new era of teacher education. In a first-of -its-kind school-based university education program, UNSW Sydney is working with students, teachers, parents, and other key stakeholders to build a collaborative, inclusive and sustainable educational community for all.

This program looks to find solutions to the big issues. How can theory and practice be better integrated in teacher education? And how can schools best address increasing student diversity and deeply-entrenched issues of educational equity?

Professor Chris Davison, Head of UNSW's School of Education will describe some of the initiatives and the outcomes of the partnership thus far.
