Please join Mary Zournazi and her students for this special discussion with Greek economist, academic and politician Professor Yanis Varoufakis.

Yanis will be in conversation, live from Greece, with Mary Zournazi from the School of Social Sciences, UNSW for her Living Social Justice Class in the Sociology and Anthropology Program, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Yanis Varoufakis is the founder member of DIEM – Democracy in Europe Movement, and European Realistic Disobedience Front. He was Greek Minister of Finance from January to July 2015, and returned as a member of the Greek Parliament in 2019.

He has published widely on the economy and politics including And the Weak Suffer What They Must? Europe's Crisis and America's Economic Future and forthcoming, Another Now: Dispatches from an Alternative Present.
