This is an opportunity for YOU to come along and participate in a UN consultation. Professor Joe Cannataci, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to privacy will introduce the work he's doing and seek input into his final report to the General Assembly on Big Data - Open Data.

Was the Cambridge Analytica scandal just hype? Is privacy a pipedream in the age of big data? Or should you be worried about what your data is saying behind your back? This is your opportunity to find out what the UN thinks we should fear and pitch your questions and concerns.

The discussion will be led by UNSW Law student and Blitz editor, Laura Kenny. Afterward there will be a light lunch and opportunity to meet the Special Rapporteur..

A Grand Challenges event.
